ANyone know where I can get a good outboard motor bracket in the Va. Beach area? Or maybe a website that has them. Any help would be appreciated.

Boat: Shutterbug (24' Grady)

Do a search here for jawz12. He has some very interesting information on aluminum brackets, does boat repairs and I hope I'm quoting correctly that if you have to go with a bracket use one made of fiberglass. Try www.hermco.net.

I'm on my 2nd. The first came on the Grady, then several yrs. later they gave me another because of the protective finish peeling. They're aluminum. Can't speak for other aluminum bracket manufacturers but I'm not overly happy with this one.

I had one custom made by Armstrong a three years ago and I was very happy with the quality. The finish still looks great.

Hey Craig- all /most of the CSC guys are using Hermco's brackets. They are Designed by Bill Potter (who still works for the company) and positive flotation- great looking bracket as well.
