NorthStar Hi-Def Radar

Hey JW,

I am not too familiar with the Northstar HD but I understand the new Furuno NavNet 3D systems are the heat. I believe they have a hi-def radar also. You may want to check them out. Flatbottom posted up some video about them: FURUNO 3D NAVNET VIDEO

Thanks paul but I already have the NS 6100 , Talked to Dave at Martek KI, he said the same thing . He did tell me that JRC makes the NS radar, and it should be great and better than the Furuno I have now.

Dave is a good guy. He told me similar things about Northstar a year or so ago. He (like I) has always been a Furuno proponent but he admitted that once JRC started making the radars for Northstar that he liked tehm very much. Either way - the HD stuff looks very cool. Let us know what you come up with.

How do you like your 6100? I love our 6000. Wish I could use the Platinum charts though.

I bought the 6100 or the 6000 because I wanted the weather feature. I'll let you know when I get it installed.
