Micron Extra both Green & Black = Custom Color ! Started out with three different colors of green , I liked the first color ,so that is what ended up on the Mako 19 !

Smart Rails

THE
SMART-RAILŪ

FAST-RAILSŪ

SMART Marine
Products Corp.

PRODUCT INFORMATION
FEATURES
THE SMART-RAILŪ was originally conceived as a device to control unwanted spray. Performance benefits became evident as the rails were installed on various hull types.
Rails are manufactured from virgin engineered Polyvinylchloride formulated to withstand the harsh marine environment.
The rail is flexible so that it fits any hull design.
The 2 bonding strips are applied to the Wall and Tail sections of the rail at the factory. They are protected by a plastic guard and a release liner to be removed at installation.
A final application of a structural adhesive completes the permanent bond to fiberglass, aluminum, steel, or prepared wooden hulls.
The 9-foot sections can be bonded end-to-end to accommodate any boat length.
BENEFITS
Rails installed on forward of amidships (THE SMART-RAILŪ):

Greatly reduced spray
Better visibility
Rails installed beyond amidships (FAST-RAILSŪ):

Planing at lower RPM
Reduced fuel consumption
Increased top speed (example: a 37 ft. Hatteras gained 5 knots by using The Smart-Rail at the stern of the boat.)
Improved tracking
Softening of wave impact
Stabilizing effect at rest

Card... I like those things!!

I seen them do some boats down here years ago and they did both lift and spray types and it really helped out the boat. I had a sea craft 23 that I made my own on and just screwed and west systemed her down and air filed it off. so much can be done that improves the boat!

Joe,
Looks great, I am curious to hear how you like those splash rails. I am in the middle of a Mako 19 restoration also and I like the splash rail idea...

Bimini Top & Strata Glass Windshield !

I angled the bimini top forward -instead of behind the center console , so it wouldn't be in my way when fishing !

Also -when with Hard Strata ( EZ2CY ) Glass Windshield - instead of the SOFT plastic - because of Summer Hot days the soft plastic would get softer and be harder to see out of !
