new si-tex

i recently posted a thread about what i should do for radar on my boat (268 albermarle). well i want to thank everyone for there input. i have been looking at the new si-tex T-900 series, and was wandering if anyone has first hand knowledge bout how its performance is?

The T940-3 is a 3.5' array and the T940-4 is a 4.5' array. Both have a 48 mile range....and dual range screen so you can watch close and far away targets. The great thing about them is the digital processing as it eliminates unwanted noise and enhances small targets.(like birds) I have never had a problem with Sitex/Koden. You will enjoy the large 8.4" True-Color Daylight Viewable LCD Display!

I will say this i think Si Tex is a very under rated company!!!! I've got a old 106 crt screen bottom machince on my boat that was on it when i got it & had planned on replacing it shortly aftwards !!!!! That was 5 years ago & I LOVE THAT UNIT!!!!! And you can get parts for the unit from SiTex !!! I've never had a moments touble with the unit!!! I've been looking at the same Radar and are thinking about replacing my Raymarine unit and going with the Si Tex!! I'm not a Big fan of combination units the old saying about putting all your eggs in one basket!! Let us know how the new Si Tex does!!
