sold my 2005 38 Luhrs here in calif and bought a 2003 44 Luhrs in St Augustine FL.Just moved it last week to the Ft Lauderdale area.Will be in Hall of Fame marina untill the end of mar when we will put it on a ship to the west coast.Anyone in that area drop me a PM as I will be going down for long weekends.Tom

Congrats, everyone hates on Luhrs but I like them.

I will admit, some of the older low to mid 30' models were a little shakey.

Do yourself a favor and get rid of the powder coated bow rail . As a dealer we received hull # 1 of the 44 and that was the 1st thing that got damaged on the boat outside of the tower what a pain in the butt it was

Congrats on the ride maybe my co pilot and I can get down to visit soon.

when it gets home it will have a stainless rail going back to the cockpit,27in tall with a toe rail on the pulpit.Need to see if I can get the riggers bridge mounted so we can get to the bow to cast on the stripers.Tom

Hmmm I think its doable, "I think" on the inside of the super structure should be an access panel for the strb side and the port side ahhh yeah being thru bolted I am unsure...

will post pics of the 38.They just unbolted the alu rail and made plates exactly like them in stailess and bolted them on.Back where there was none the wraped it and had 2 bolts on the top and 2 on the sides.Never had a problem with them.Tom
