New to outboards. Verado advice

Any newbie maintenance advice regarding a large center-console with twin 275 Verados?

I will admit it, I am an inboard man, so all this outboard stuff is new to me. Besides the obvious, of get the manual, do you guys have any "unwritten advice"?

just from a boat at my docks who ran 3 275hp verados on his yellow fin and his boat last summer with twin yammy 350hp on it he said that the verado's ran like shit and ate gas up like a hog and that the 350 were very quite and ran extremely well just my 2 cents

Fortun- the boat will not hang the 350's. From what I have seen the Suzi" 300's would have been my choice.

We just sold our last boat with Verados onr it and I was totally con vinced about how good they are. They are easy on fuel and extremly quiet.
