jones bros are one of the premier light tackle boats. these boats are designed with the inshore fly/light tackle guys. i don't think they are trying to compete ,just offer a little more boat for someone who wants alittle more than their 23 capefisher. the 1910 is the textbook model for light tackle boats.

i agree with what all has been said for the most part. Personally would HAVE to have those motors on a bracket.

Yeah, i love jones brothers. We do more inshore stuff than off shore but when we do go out we get a little rattled. We have the 23 cape fisherman and the 17 bateau. That 26 is HOT! Prob. a little more than ill need for inshore stuff, but i think it looks great and i like the lines!

Reminds me of the old C-Hawk I used to comm. grouper fish off of. Definately needs a bracket(Armstrong). It's probably gonna be a wet ride running in a sea. But if it's like a C-Hawk, it'll be stable on anchor in rougher water.

Hell man, just ride up to Jones Bros. in Morehead and try it out for yourself. Last time I was up there, seemed like they had plenty of them.

Seems like the C-hawk has a deeper entry in it than that boat. I know a guy that has a 25 C-hawk and the bow on that thing is incredibly sharp. That is where all the water came from on those boats.
And as far as the stern being cut out if you look at the picture you will notice there are not any scuppers. So you would either have to do some bailing water or learn to swim.

The C-Hawk I'm talking about was an '88 model. They're more like the one in the pic. That boat probably has drains that go to the bilge, not any better though.

well, "rich" you and i already agreed that a parker with a deep-V would be a better ride for more hard core off shore stuff while still being a comparable boat to the jones brothers. I will say i dont know why jones brothers doesnt come out with a deep V?? I think they were researching it at one point. If they put the engines on a bracket and produced a deep v they would be good to go for the off shore guys and could start to heavily compete in that market.
