What year and size? Best bet if available is a powerhead, re-builds are too labor intense and the cranks can get pretty expensive. But depending on the age of the unit a block and re-build may be the only way to go

it say,s your from breeze-lee, why wouldn,t you take it to TONY,S MARINE SUPPLY? right around the corner and joe baker is one of the best outboard mechanic,s around. you cant be unaware of them, can you?

I would steer away from shipping your motor anywhere other than a local dealer, god forbid if there are problems they will make you unbolt it and ship it back to them. They are not going to pay any one else to fix it and if they say 5 day turn around time at this time of year, there is something way wrong unless they are in Alaska.

It sounds like a real bad idea.

What is the name of the company? There is only 2 places I trust with power head rebuilds but they only deal with dealers.

I had a guy do something like that similar and if I remember correctly it was a generator and the company closed their doors and filled chapter 11 bankruptcy and it was a real long time before he got the generator back if he did at all

There is a guy in Middle River, Md that does incredable work on OMC products. His name is Mike, his business is called Michaels Outboard Marine. Sould be in the book. He is on Back River Neck Road. I don't have his number anymore but I would highly recommend him.

I sent a pair of Johnson 140's to a place called Blackwell industries. The price included the carrier picking them up and delivering them back to me. Complete both powerheads and a 1 yr warranty was $3,000. I had no issues and the motors ran great. I would recommend them to someone.
