Hi Don. Very impressive. I wasn't aware of the caliber of your work. The Rybo styled express is probably a bit too "full" in the forward sections, but beautiful nonetheless.
Best of luck.
Rick.

Don: Unlike the general populace, member's memories on this forum are not that short. We do remember. Your cred level has just taken a quantum leap to the plus side based on your handiwork. I agree on the traditional view of the bottom & running gear, but think that a 'waterline' & up view as you are building is beautiful and unique as well.
And unlike Avenger, I'm not afraid to ask '...how much is that puppy in the window...'. Are you still active or is this just a hobby? If you're still active I'd like to get an idea what an 18-24" model of my 1983 30' twin outboard powered Rybo Runner with full tower would run. Unfortunately, one of the most unique features of this hull is the bottom - a ventilated, twin stepped variable deadrise bottom.
If you are still active, at your convenience, would you pm me. If not, keep posting pics. Your work is beautiful. Below are a few pics to give you an idea on our boat if you like - signed - an SFC member who is continually amazed at the incredibly talented and creative people we have on this site - MV
Thanks Avenger, your comments are appreciative. The cost of the models start at around $4000.00 and can go as high as $15,000.00 and up. It all depends on the type of boat and how its equiped and rigged. Sportfish boats are normally on the high side not only the initial build, but there is a enormous amount of detail involved.... towers, outriggers, electronics, fighting chairs, teak decks etc, etc. On the average it can take as much as 500 + hrs to complete a model. However lets remember that your purchasing a unique and personial fine piece of Art that will last a life time. Think of it this way the price of a model would be comparable to buying a few high end marine electronics, exterior/ interior upgrades or a paint job. And most likley when its time to sell your boat you don't get to keep all those high cost items. So far I have around 200 hrs in the express boat and only 40% finished. Thanks Don

Hi Rick, I agree a bit to "full" and "flat" running fwd. Its not a Rybovich therefore on this build the sides are "wider" on the top edge all around, especially the fwd bridge section. Is that what your refurring to? Adding the rails were an after thought, so I made it work....... Fudged-it. Thanks for the complement and glad you like it, I value your opinion.
When I get a chance I'm going to post some pics of this one on the Classic site. Thanks Don
Hello Don, seeing those two models of the 37 and 60 struck a nerve, as you know, spent a fair amount of time with them. The 60 looks great, some boat in its day. Sounds like your doing well, keep up the good, great work. Ted
Hi Ted, Those days were very memorable for me too. I often wonder where are those 58 and 60 ft.ers now? The next time your near by please stop in. Thanks Don
Don: We just got back into town. Check your pm - Thx - MarkV
Here are a few progress pics of the 52 express hardtop and tower build.
