Here is a situation

The way the manufacturer builds the electonics panel we are restricted to 8.5 inches in height for any unit that we install , it is due to the hard cover that slides out and over the electronics on the console .

at this point we need to go with 2 screens which is what we planned on in the begining

so here are thoughts going forward

The main plotter will be a Garmin 4208 and some type of Plotter sounder by garmin that will do bottom and back up plotter 4 or 500 series

Radio will be t top box mounted with a ram mic on the console

if we take out the hard plastic electronics cover and glass it in we can get enough space to accomadate almost anything but it is not worth it for the time being
