    My new (old) inshore boat..

Always wanted an old Mako,so last year i bought a 1971 19' for inshore use..she was in bad shape with soaked foam, bad deck and weak transom,i gutted her,new foam, new deck, new wiring, wash down pump, live well, storage and finally new paint..
    Before -

    After a year of fabricating and tons of money..i now have a new (old) boat..i upgraded including..windlass.washdown pump..GPS,Fishfinder,tackle storage.underwater lighting,pop up cleats..S.S.rod holders..leaning post..rebuilt 150 suzuki..custom woodwork ect..almost time to go fishing..

Next week its off to get power installed..finish up some details..and by God...GO FISHIN..

    Great job.

That must have taken some hours to accomplish.

    I like it.

Now it's time to enjoy it.

    Good luck fishing.

Well, here's the thing..did a job for a guy 2 years ago..finished..right when the market collapsed he went broke..i said, take your time paying me,i understand..2 months later he calls me and wants to pay..after he pay's me (cash) he asks if i want 2 suzuki DT150's off his lake boat..bank repoed boat he took motors..brought them to a outboard mechanic i know..he looked them over and said there good as new, just unused..i asked him to replace everything that idle time can damage, and get 'em running, so i've got a newley painted clean like new motor and a back up..long story short - 1986 DT150

Sounds like you got A good deal, I always seem to get the short end of the stick on those kind of deals. Post up pics when you get it done and good luck on the many fishing trips ahead.
