Thumbs up Motors ore off!

And headin' to thier new home in Texas! The boat is gettin' a set of 300 Verados and then off to Boynton Beach Fla. After a ton of research and alot of great advice We decided on the V'Rods for the speed and economy they will provide. She should do very well with the 300's. These are some shots of the boat and the reasons We love this boat!

Best Catch: havent caught it yet
how big is she? we have a 32 cuddy with twin 250 salt water series like the ones you just got rid of. I'm sure she will fly with those new engines.

Question for you!! Just curious as to why you chose the Verados over the Suzuki 300's or the Yamahas. This is not a Mercury basher I have a 150 Verado on my little boat and am bulding a 29' center console and just started my engine research today. I am on a fact finding mission.

Freakin sooooo stoked right now, cant even sleep at night! Even though i will not have her together for several months...28 ft, about 30 overall. Intrepid reccommended the 300Verados as a 4 stroke repower. The yammies are too wide, but that is a great motor. The suzuki's were very researched...just like all applications...The Verados have a 6 yr warraty as do the suzuks, but he verado's will have a higher top end and the 300 vrods have been bulletproof so far...time will tell and you will all know about the end product!! Think i might have something goin' on here...!
Once again...Sooooo freakin stoked!!

Question Wide open?

What do you think you will get top end and cruise out of it?My guess would be 63mph-64mph top and about A cruise of 45-47mph fuel efficient. What did you guys come up with?

Damn DeepD...you are a smart man...In my pops eyes anyway! Those were his exact numbers!! Im an optimist and was hoping to see 70!! But that is not important!! I really am all about the cruise, because its all about getting to and from the fishing grounds!! Just give me that 45-47 @ 2.0!! Do you think that is achievable??

A lot can be done with the proping for better speed. But I would concentrate more on economy!Thats the reason you went with verado's and not 300xs's LOL depending on how your loading your boat.Fuel, people,Ice,tackle+Bait I believe that they will be realistic #'s with A 1/2 tank of fuel and 2-3 people in optimal seas. But let us know what you really get when you get out there.Im game just let me know where and when!
