Motor won't trim....

It was fine when we pulled it out of the water 1 1/2-2 weeks ago, went out to get it ready to fish Saturday...and the motor won't move. I can hear the solenoids click, and I can hear the electricity running through them, but the motor isn't making a sound.

I don't know the first thing about boat motors...hoping maybe you guys can help!

Thanks
Kayla

Sounds like a voltage problem to me. Take your battery leads off and clean them . put them back and see if it will turn over. Make sure you cut you battery switch off before you disconnect your wires. Some of the others on here may have other ideas.

Thanks....I should have been more specific....the engine is turning over fine. I checked the batteries to see if they were charged- they were and the leads are really clean.
Normally when I trim the engine, you can hear like a humming...I assumed that maybe there was a seperate little motor that powered those cylanders.

On mine there is a little relay that fried last summer. It was a simple solution that almost cost us a tournament day. It looks like a little gray cube on mine. They sold them at autozone for $5.00. I you happen to have twins find the relay on the good motor and switch em to see if that is the problem.

It's fixed....

$500 dollars later. I know that's nothing for boat repairs....it's just annoying since we just got the stupid thing. GRRR!!! Oh well...at least I can enjoy it again instead of staring at it!

WHATTTTT!!!!????? Brother KVosicky???!!

What about the relay switch modules? Darn.....I picked up this thread late....and was looking forward to hearing that SQUIDNATION had hit the home run solution in the sweet spot!!

Many of my friends have had the same problem and it's been the relays

Was it a stator or power pak (same thing??- )
