    Motor Problems

For a friend: Any ideas? I brink it to the best to get answers!

    Motor Problem
Anybody have an idea of what this is: I went outside today and heard my motor trimming up. I walked up to it thinking perhaps something was stuck againt the throttle causing the trim to go up but nothing was against it, I hit the trim on the throttle and it would not stop. I hit the trim on the motor still would not stop. I then went to my bow where I have another trim near the trolling motor and this stopped it. However it would continue to automatically start trimming up. The only trim buton that would stop it was the one on my bow. I ended up having to disconnect the battary b/c it would just keep doing it. Any IDEA what the heck could cause this? Thanks, Cody

I had the same problem with my old Fict.... I didn't have a trim on the bow but the switch on the motor had water in it which caused it to stay on.... I disconnected the switch on the motor and it worked fine from the throttle. I would try disconnecting the switch on the bow and see if that does it.

Sounds like the switch in the Binnacle is bad. Twins? Yamaha?
More info would help me help you.
