More Ocean Led Talk

I'm thinking about putting them on the boat next year . I have a center console and would like to light up behind the boat and along the sides. I have a few questions though maybe you guy that have them allready can help ease the learning curve for me . As far as the transom area is concerned is it better to put them on the outsides of the motors or will one inbetween them get it done very nicely ( I dont want to have any blacked out areas)? As far as the sides go , is it better to mount them high on the V of the bottom or on the side ? I would like to get them pointing in somewhat of a downward fashion to pull bait up but am concerned that I will wind up with a dead spot , putting the fish in black water when it comes time to gaff it. What I'm trying to accomplish is to manage power. If I can run the under water lights and not the halogens on the t-top acept when needed that would be great. I have lights under the gun that will provide enough light to keep the deck safely lit and draw little power rather than running the big guns all the time. And lastly which light model did you get and was it enough or would you have liked more ? Thanks for any help you can give .

Boat: CONTENDER 36 CUDDY 23 OPEN 36 FISHAROUND
Home Port: EAST COAST
Best Catch: There is always something better!
We use the 1520 Thru Hulls blue or green. 2 work great on a twin application on Trip with no black out areas on the transom.

We also have a step up the transom where we can mount 2 additional

hey guys first post...nice to be on this site!!

anyways, the ocean led lights are great. i would not have much concern about black out areas. typically most captains will install their lights facing aft. this will illuminate a spread behind the boat. real nice at the dock and will certainly work well on an overnighter.
the captains who care only about their catch will have the lights installed aiming straight down. this will still give some light behind the boat, but the concentreation will be aimed towards the deep. really effective!!

i am about to rig a cc with 4, 2 aft 2 down. either way we sell and reccomend the ocean led. very nice in different colors.
