hahahaha I always just wanted a great boat that was functional and was pretty dry when you were running.. had room for people and was strong..

so I built mine and have had such a great time with her fishing, diving, dinner parties, etc

bet most boats cannot do or survive Bachelor parties...

Cdial asked what my back deck engine room cut out was like so basically you can see it in the pics .

the box / bait well / tank storage / ice hold / seat / what everyone steps on when they get on.. on the port side really has made the boat and the larger flat deck without the step up is great.

and yes we tied both boats up together (had 18 guys for two boats ) by the way we had 4 in the v berth 1 (me) on the shelf / day bunk that takes up the old caffateria seating.. one on the floor on an air matteress , one upstairs on the flybridge and one on a bean bag on the starboard storage locker on the back deck..

there were people in sleping bags outside the boat and in the front of the mako also..

    yes it was fun!

yes someone pulled the plug and let some water out .. basically we do have a little bit of tide in south florida..

woke up and the boat felt a little off..

anyway bet your inboard shaft, struts and props 28 bertram cannot sit like this...

have a good day! and don't ever forget to have fun and watch the tide...

    Hey Quest,
it looks a little CHILLY in South FLOREEDA.

Keep up the good work, I was telling somone about your conversions today. How do you think my 35 would do with twin 350's ?

as long as you balance the weight ...

and think about a semi-displacment bracket ... everything is good I have plans for a guy here with his 35 but he has never went forward.. the hull is deep vee. the hull is heavy enough for you not to worry about being too light and the space you get underdeck in the long run is amazing. also you would not know what to do with yourself with a generator room that big! and no more oil n gas in the bilge.... no more shaft or rudder leaks.. the 350's have torque to push with and without the running gear on the bottom she can go shallow. figure the weight of your engines and fuel and start balancing it out... the bracket has to hold 1,685 lbs ... that needs to be semi displacement 30" shafts to keep the engines dry and make it v type also so you can back up.. the fuel you burn would be a lot less and you'd loose all your hair with the increased speed ...lol not really but that boat going 38 knots will turn some heads.. it would kick your bow up about 10 degrees also so it would be better for trolling .... and not rooting in the green water.

She would scream, but I just put a pair of 380 QSB Cummins in her in November and I am really pleased with the performance. It goes faster than I could ever run her on most days and the performance numbers are mind blowing

I would like to see someone try a pair of 350's on one, bet it would be a cool set up.

It looks good with the step removed. I was in Tampa last week and it was way to cold to be sleeping outside (without a lot alcohol).

    Quest,
I saw this rig down in Isla a couple of weeks ago and I thought of you, seems it's a popular thing.

    cool looking 31' rig...

there are some boats that can take new power well and some it upsets the balance and you can never get them right. I just ran 138 n.m. on my 28' with 225's and through some nasty head and beam seas and people were sleeping in their bean bags ... got 1.57 n.m. per gallon heavy with tackle, food, beer, and fishing gear for 4 days.. I am happy.. just wish I had real fuel without corn mash in the tank! someone alert the higher powers please and tell them off for me for the ethanol.. I have to buy stuff that costs us performance..??!!!???
