Like most 1980's boats the decks and transom should be checked for weakness. Otherwise, the Aquasport was a decent boat. You should have any boat surveyed.

Also, you may want to check out http://www.classicaquasport.com

(I think the site may be down right now since it is based somewhere close to where Ike hit the coast)

i had a 222ccp and i thought it was a great little boat.it had a good ride somewhat wet but decent. took it off to the 20 line lots of times.as far as construction seemed solid.i had it in some bad weather never a problem. sold it last year not worth much but enough for the down payment on my carolina classic.not sure about the 27 ride, but it comes from a good company.good luck

I had a 26 Aquasport a few years back...let's put it this way...when I got the boat I was 6'3", when I got rid of the boat 10 month later I was my current height of 5'7"....spine compressor is what we called it....

Not good for long runs in mid atlantic seas....great for glassy bay flounder trips....

Just my opinion and everybody who rode it with me in anything more than 1 - 3 foot seas....Bob

One of my friends had an early 80s' Aquasport for a couple of years. Luckily insurance covered the hull split and replaced the boat when it sunk.
