There is absolutely no room on them. I've got a friend who went from a 23' CC to a 23' walk and is very unhappy. He thought it would provide a place for his wife and kids to go an dget out of the sun, but all it does is get hot and stuffy. You would be all right if you got AC, but likely not gonna do that for less than 25k. You'd be better off getting a bow dodger to provide some shade on a CC. Plus you lose all your fishability. There is VERY LITTLE room in the cockpit of a walk around <25'. Barely room for 3 people to move around. With the bow dodger on the CC you can fold it up out of the way when not in use.

the boat that i currently have is a walkaround and i will say it has more fishing room then most c/c's so no i'm not opposed to a walkaround..thanks for the input

    Albemarle 24???

    Gettingwett,

In your size and price range I'd take a look at used Albemarle 24's. There are several on the market of all ages, many with fresh power that will serve your needs well. Has a nice cuddy for storage or taking a nap.

They aren't the fastest boat out there but they are very sea worthy and are great trolling boats. My previous boat was a 24 and in many ways I really miss it.

gotcha  Most of the small walks i have seen and been on it was kinda precarious walking to the front. What kind do you have? I would be looking at the same model if it was me. In fact if i wasn't looking to move to a faster boat in a few years i'd look at it myself.
