Yup my point to this whole thread, if its gonna break i wont do it. So manufactuer is going to have to give me some severve assurance that its gonna hold up for a semi good period of time for them to ever stick this sucker in the boat.

boats are semi no frills if its gonna break and cause probs they "will not" install it at the factory. The guy can do it afterwards all he wants be they want know part of it unless its signed off on

    Thumbs up

"Eskimo" Icemakers were on the last four big Hatteras we had in stock, less problems with the cubes ! Being able to get road service calls & parts on these units, is a big thing , never had a problem with the guys at Eskimo !

By the sounds of it esikmo is the way to go. Forget about pricing customer service is huge to me.

Pretty sure if I look at this install at all angles and get the go ahead from esikmo this can be done..I just don't want to make a HUGE mistake and find out later it was a bad idea.

Also Joe I am in need of a 3 - New in box verado 300's like yesterday for a donzi you don't know anyone that may have 3 of them in stock willing to part fairly ??? That's another escapade for today ...

    Dedicated Pump for Eskimo

I've run a lot of boats with Eskimo's. What I learned Eskimos are much like diesels, watermakers and generators- the more you use them the better they work. Also depending on the mounting location I highly recomend installing a dedicated pump, alot of times the installers T-off of an A/C pump, I have found this sometimes created a conflict. Spend the extra money up front and install a dedicated pump and strainer. Other than that the Eskimo is the greatest invention to sportfishing since the lever drag.
