    Mako 221 2001 with Zuke 250

Interested in opinions regarding a 2001 Mako 221 with an 06' 250 suzuki 4 stroke.
The bottom and hull is painted but the boat is currently for sale on a trailer. Interested to know if it's a result of damage they are hiding behind the paint, water logged, etc.

I've never bought a used hull so just wondering what I should expect

    Thanks in advance

I can see it's dangerous for you, but if the government trusts me, maybe you could. Agitated88's Avatar

I am the LAST person to answer this question...but, folks like JAWZ, and Franky Pettolina ALWAYS advise that you spend the money on a good marine surveyor. I have actually spoken with Franky and he was able to provide me the name of a guy in TX. Apparently marine surveyors are a pretty close fraternity and attend many of the same training sessions, conferences etc... Bottom line, better to spend a little coin up front, than buy a boat and spend a crap load later in repairs that could have been caught by a qualified inspector beforehand. Good luck!
