SAW THE M.A.N DIESEL ENGINES FOR THE FIRST TIME AT THE AUCKLAND BOAT SHOW...NICE LOOKING.ARE THEY GOOD IN PERFORMANCE? ANY EXPERIENCES?

you still have coolers, turbos and such to replace or clean someday but they run nice. have the power and the lower rpm engines I like at 1760 a set of 8oo's pushes the 50' post at 26.7 knots full of everything and burns 36 gallons per hour // 34.8 knots wide open 2350 rpm and at 2150 we do 31.4 knots easy on fuel if you want to be and no smoke.. there are a set of German Girls in my engine room..

even if parts are found I guess it must be damn expensive as its GERMAN!!

Commonly refered to as "German Engineering". If anyone can make pouring water into a glass complicated, they and the Swede's can. By the way, you pay for that complication. Just an observation, Frank
