Lower Unit Cross Post

I have already posted this on mix it up. I guess I should have posted it here. I'm in need of a lower unit. The model # on it is (F120TLCO). I have been looking on Ebay and there are many different types. I'm wondering what the difference is with the housings. I think the year spread is 79-to-94 but not sure about the HP rating or gears that are in them. I see a lot of 115 V4 and 140 V4's that are complete and wondering if I could use them? Are the gears different ? If they are will it increase or decrease speed, torque, top end, ect ? I know I have a Mech shift 20inch shaft other then that what will work for me ? I 'm fairly sure that all guts to my unit are OK. I Was able to start right up and drive away wilth little vibration, due to the prop. Would I be better off buying a complete unit or do you think I could rebuild the unit I have using my guts?

Thanks
