Having some trouble with my GPS. After I turn it on it takes about 15 minutes for it to get a fix. Any ideas what the problem is. Checked all connections and they seem to be ok. Thinking a possible antena problem. Any thoughts???

maybe a ground.....
has anyone fiddled with the satellites it will look for......maybe a reset to default mode will kick it up......save your waypoints on the flash card
what kind of GPS is it? It may need to be re- initialized
Did you move the boat ?
May sound crazy but my gps, Lowrance lcx28hd loses and picks gets a signal 2-3 times in just about the same 100-150' span going out my canal and picks back it up every time. Other than that span works like a charm.
When I first installed it I did have to re-initialize.
If it is a Northstar, there is a defect relating to the newly launched satalite32.

Thanks for the suggestions.
Went to the boat today and when I turned the GPS on it worked no problem. Now I'm really confused since I have gotton the no fix message the past five or six times until I was underway for awhile.
To answer some of the questions, it's a Raymarine unit (2001). This season I did change marinas and that is when the problem seemed to start.
The USCG district 5 mentions local interference to GPS signals occasional. Perhaps that interference caused your troubles
