    FL Looking at boats

Ok, Hopfully some of you may be able to help. I am in the market for a boat, I have been looking at the Sea Hunt 22 and the 21 Polar, but today I came across a great deal (at least I think) with the Sea Hunt 225 Victory. The first 2 are about 40k out the door, the last one I found for about 27k with trailor. If I put a hard top and gps/fish/vhf, I am looking around 33k.

A little of what I plan on doing: off shore, have 3 kids, so running trips on the ICW.

With the 225 I am going from the CC to the cuddy cabin, so losing front deck space for some fishing.

    Any suggestions would be great.

    Boats,
Welcome to the best fishing resource on the net, and congrats on taking the leap into ownership. I don't know much about the boats you are asking about, but I do know that for that price you should take a look in the for sale section of this site- there is a Grady White 26' CC for sale that is a heck of a boat. Plenty of room for the little ones, and ten times the platform of many boats its size. I don't know how to attach the link, but if you search you'll find it. Good luck in the hunt!

Mr Fishy and Shoefish, Thanks for posting the link to my boat in the classifieds
She is a great boat in ready to run condition.
And, I believe, priced very competitively

I've got the Grady as well. Just newer. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a safer boat. I've got 3 kids as well. I hate to admit that I had a cheaper boat prior to my Grady. The damn thing almost sunk offshore, not once but twice by 2 totally different issues.

Go bigger - more room for the ankle-biters. 2 motors, better on fuel and safer as well - not to mention more power when the sh%t hits the fans.

Well lets just say i have been in the Coast Guard for 17 years, I ran 52' 47' 44' 30' motor lifeboats in the surf for 4 1/2 years out of cape disappointment. Ran 110' patrol boat out of Jersey, 41' and 47' out of Orgeon inlent NC and Ft. Macon and 55' ANB's out of Texas, also 19-23', so i would say I an a little experianced on the water.

This will be the first boat I will own.

Off shore fishing would be with me and a few buddies, I wouldnt take my 3 year old out there.
