I think Admin is going to let me have this space
here's the best advice you're ever gonna get...
buy,as in purchase the boat you want,attempting to "rework" what you have is going to exceed the value,it's a losing proposition...
a twin flotation bracket,like the one in the pics,made by my buddy don herman-hermco,is around $3,000...that boat,the luhrs in the picture,it will require extensive modifications,to support a bracket with twin outboards on the transom...i'm not saying it can't be done,what i'm saying is,the cost will be much more than the boat will ever be worth...cheaper to purchase a boat,set up the way you want...
let me add this:
"project boats"
a gentleman on this site,"chumslicker",we had a discussion about a project boat,it was an old 29 blackfin,no power,no gears,it was sitting for,by the appearance,about 10yrs.the gentleman was interested in "building a beast" as he put it...i gave him some very good advice,that was,run,and run fast...all these things sound attractive,till you sit down and factor the cost,the cost,just in materials,we're not even discussing labor-that boat,the 29 blackfin,by the time the gentleman was done,it would have cost him,in excess of $100k to "build the beast",he could have purchased the same boat for less than half...with the market the way it is right now,boats are at a fire sale price,you will never purchase anything for as cheap as you can now...
