Lookin for some input on a 30' class center console

I am looking to get as much information on a 30' center console. I currently have a 22' and want to move up so I can do more offshore stuff. I want a dependable, offshore machine. I have heard Ocean Masters are bullet proof, how about the ride. This is my first post, any information would be greatly appreciated.

Intrepid 28' or 32' rigs, Contenders 25' to 35', sea vee's, Ocean slammers (I mean masters) need a lot of power to push them which equals fuel...you can do the math... there are great boats out there just make sure that you take your time and find what you want. Be smart buy something with good power & warrantees if avaliable. storage is a must, and so is being in good shape. Mary on her is a Contender girl she may be able to help you along if ya ask her.

Used or new? Price range? Trolling or live bait? Need more info if we are to help. Agreed on the storage part. Most 30' and under boats out there simply do not have enough storage for all the 'stuff', both fishing and safety gear, for offshore fishing.

An Ocean Master 31 is a great fishing platform, but in the day of $5/gallon fuel and 100NM runs to the fish, 1NMPG and 26 knot cruise is not the answer.

If money is no object, get a 32 Yellowfin with 40MPH+ cruise and 1.8 NMPG plus a great ride and good fishability. Think 165k.

If lookign for a deal, used Contender 31 would be a good starting point.

They are great fishing platforms / they have some great storage / they will take on some huge seas and do it everyday. You will need raingear... they are wet! You will need a big wallet they are big n wet and like to drink because of the power it takes to push them. A set of 300 eteks is the only engine set up I would run becase of weight for hp rating and fuel hope this does not slam an ocean master to most guys in 2008. we went everywhere on a 31 and fished the heck outta her. cleaned our glasses all the time also...

Add Cape Horn 31 to your list one of the best riding, unsinkable, toughest built hulls in that class. Also now available in the XS model with storage up front. They also added in gunnel storage up front plus a transom door and optional seating for 2009 nice boat.
