Load Rite vs 5 Star Trailer - what is the difference?

Looking for a new trailer for the little boat. I got quoted what I thought was a fair price for both a 5 Star and a Load Rite. The Load Rite is a few hundred bucks more. I was then told that Load Rite owns 5 Star.... what is the difference between the two?

I bought a 5star trailer for daves trailer ,add a some options
and was still cheaper than a loadrite . The dealer couldn't tell me the differance .The is titled as a loadrite . jose

I have a Loadrite Aluminum I beam. The major difference is torsion bars vs leaf springs. I think that is the only difference.
5 Star is a division of Loadrite.

I would make the decision based on how far you would be trailering it. If its home to water, 5 starr , long distance load rite.

I sold both trailers and they are great. Just MAKE SURE you are getting the proper trailer for your boat. Most trailer dealers or boat sales people don't know thier azz from a hole in the ground in sizing the proper trailer

Feel free to call load rite direct and confirm the model number needed for your load/boat. I have seen boats and trailers flip to wrong size and yes one of my wonderful salesman at the time did his best at picking the trailer out.
