Live well pump
My Jabsco live well pump was not/is not working. I ordered a kit, took it apart and found a piece of mono in one of the suction rubber diaphragm(sp?) which I thought air was getting in so thought I found the problem. I removed that, but since I had the kit, reinstalled with the new kit. STILL doesn't work, any suggestions???

live well issue
I used to have some issue with my live-well pump in an old boat after keeping it on the trailer. Pretty much, after a relaunch, i'd need to start it the first time while running. I think it needed the water to get pushed up the thru-hull by the force of running to prime it.
After it ran once, it would be fine from then on. You may have already done this, but it sounds like you're stuck, so I thought I'd mention it.

I use a green machine
Are your fuses good? Any of your contacts corroded? Do you have a meter test to make sure you are getting current? Can you remove the pump and have it function while not on the boat by running a hot wire to it?

Pump
Split Bill, Since I have put it back together I have only tested it sitting still, not running/forcing water in it thinking that the pump should be sucking water???. I'll try that next time, Thanks.
Reel Sharp, The pump runs okay, it just isn't sucking the water into the tank. Thanks.
