    Line color choices / differences

I just got 4 new Tiagra 80wides.....I have them 1/4 backed with braid and am trying to decide on what line to go with. I do mostly shark and Tuna fishing , but am getting more into the marlin latley. I would use my 80s for my wayback and Zwing baits. I was wondering wether getting Hi-viz line (Sufix Yellow) would hurt performance in tuna and shark fishing. Right now I use quatro on all my 50s but wanted to get hi viz on my 80s and 30s.....Do you think it will effect Shark and Tuna fishing ?

I've never used hi-vis. I've always kept clear on my reels when chunking for tuna and sharking. I'll also add that when I chunk for tuna or shark on friends boats that we normally troll on and use their gear (which sometimes has hi-vis for trolling) we never really have the same success as when we use my gear. It's happened enough over the seasons that I think it makes a difference to a certain extent. just my 2cents!

I fish a lot though not for the species you listed and i feel strongly that Hi Viz lines are not the way to gun unless you have a long enough Flouro leader to get the braid out of the sight picture of the fish. Just my .02
