    ?Lee's Flush Mounted Inserts?

I'm on roll. Can't seem to order anything that works.

My flush mounted's are medium duty/30 degree. Ordered replacement inserts and they're about 1/8" larger diam. Have double checked and they're the ones. I've lubed but with no luck. All I can figure is since the holders are 1987's, maybe the diam. of the holders have changed for a reason .

Anyone with thoughts before returning? Thanks, Tim

Can you slit them open with a razor knife and cut out a small piece to get them to go in? I have done this with rod holder inserts just take a liitle bit at a time off untill it fits.

That crossed my mind, wasn't sure if where the cut was made would in time start to curl inward and inhibit the area where the rod would be. How did it turn out for you? Thanks
