How are they installing the underwater lights? Just a drill through the hull and seal with silicone?

Unless of course i am wrong, then by ALL MEANS correct me. That's the last thing i need is my rig ending up a fish habitat because of lights. Is that 3m 5200 sealant? |

I installed 2 of the coastal underwater lights on my boat. All you need is a 1/4 inch hole for the wire. I didn't screw them to the hull and just used 3M 4200. When I went to replace one this year, I had to absolutely destroy it using a putty knife and hammer. I can only imagine if I used 5200. Nice product for the money and good customer service. Also, the second generation lights are nuch improved from the first generation solid unit instead of sealed with air inside (my first set leaked).

Just installed my 2 double square greens. Easy install if you don't mind using a drill on your hull. Got the blue leds for the cockpit, yet to install, but the underwater lights are bright.
![]() ![]() Can't wait till this weekend to see how they look in the water. |
