I recently lost a gear on my starboard engine which had less than 200 hours on it and had been used for approx 10 weeks. The Cummins dealer in OC contacted ZF Marine in Stevensville, MD and let them know that he had a warranty issue with one of their clutches. I can not say enough good things about the way ZF handled this problem. They immediately sent a technician to check the gear out and tried a couple of "easy" fixes hoping that something major was not wrong. When that did not work they called me and let me know they were going to yank the gear and bring it up to their shop to test it. Next day they put it on the dynamometer and did not like what they saw, so they called me and let me know they were ordering a brand new gear to replace the one they were troubleshooting. Gear was freighted from Ft Lauderdale and here in three days, ZF had the gear in the boat and I sea trialed it the next day. The weekend I was down ended up being a blow weekend so I ended up missing NO fishing days as a result of the break down. The guys at ZF Marine were first class from start to finish and stood behind their product. Thank you, ZF...I appreciate the service.

I'm happy to hear that... Even happier that you let the people know. Those guys a ZF have been a gift from above for me on more than one occasion. It wasn't even new box issues. They stepped right to the plate.
They hand delivered a tranny cooler to a plane heading for Chub a couple years back. Never asked for anything in return. Told me when I pull the starboard engine on my boat they will rebuild that tranny on them as it has some issues and they were the last to rebuild it. Super people and I can't say enough nice stuff about them.
