No one? I thought there might have been someone, with some knowledge, what is the problem with them? Do they not back down fast enough? To much white water off the stern? stick out to far of the stern, surely no more than hanging a pair of 350's off the back on a bracket? there seems from all my reading on this style of motor- drive combo a lot of pluses to be had, but no one seems to be using them.

I use them where i work and see a few problems the intakes as well as the sea water strainers the white wash will be large but not unmanagable the buckets will add to the issues with moving parts

I occasionally run a 52' Little Harbor (Hinckley) whisper jet that has had a chair, rod holders and outriggers added. I have not fished it all that much but it has caught fish. The wake from the jets (Hamilton) is monstrous. Fairly large but manageable at 6.5 to 7.5 knots but very large at 7.5 to 9 knots. It is important to run all your lines off the riggers so they are in clear water as there are no alleys in the wake. I have caught Wahoo with downriggers running baits under the wake as well.

My take is that they are excellent for attracting fish but the wake is hard to manage.
