Island boatworks owners, Buddy and Doris Smith have both passed away in recent years , however their son, Joe has a 56' hull in the shop in frisco ,N.C. which is the next small village north of Hatteras. bet with the right price you'd end up with a fast rig for sure. Best way to get up with Joe is call Capn Jay Cavanaugh out of hatteras village, 252-995-3035, he runs BITE ME charters out of Hatteras, good captain and quite a boat builder himself!

I don't know Joe's cell phone number.

But he lives just down Piney Ridge from me.

I see him from time to time. His number is not listed in the phone book.

He has one of the world famous 57' hulls in the shop right side up and ready for power tanks interior etc.

he will make some one a hell of a deal on it too.

I spent several winters in the shop with Buddy, Dorris, Joe and the rest of the crew.

They build a fine, fast, good lookin boat.
