    Indexing Spark Plugs

    200hp 2004 evinrude DFI. I understand that the plug need to be indexed so that the opening faces the injectors. My question is how do I know where the injectors are?

    I know how to use a sharpie and mark the plug with a line that shows where the opening is once the plug is inserted. But, I don't know enough about motors to know where the injectors are located.

    Any help would be appreciated,

    Look for the cylindrical shaped things pointed towards the spark plug holes on each cylinder. Those monsters are the injectors.

    Not to take you away from SFC.com but if you google it you will see a complete video and a step by step how to. really helped me out give it a try.
