So fortunateone spent a fortune in time and material that he will never see even a small percentage return on it. and that 61 could probably have returned a lot of value with the right captain in a good area. So ease up on your comments stradivarius, You are wearing out your welcome with some of us. I think that blackwell 61 is a great deal especially if it can be gotten at the prices some are saying.
Here's a couple I would love to have, especially if I had a ton of bucks to repower, re electronic, and generally bring up to a "like new" standard. Just fun day dreaming...

I have spent many a day staring at the Sea Hag, in Pirates cove. I think the guy built like 4 of these. This boat was once a "Sea Hag" which number I dont know. However I think its a great deal for someone looking for a big boat. What the heck, they all go down in value.......I would rather go down in value looking this good. I also dont think its a standard charter finish boat. Yea OK, its not a matching flitch of rare exotic wood lining the halls. Who cares, Its for fishing and fun, its not a home. Its still a beautiful boat. If you dont think so, we got different taste.
Next time I go to Pirates Cove, Im going to wash Sea Hag for free just so I can get a feel for it.Leave the bucket and hand washies out please, I dont like to use a pole washer.......not personal enough. I would love this boat if I didnt have any other responsibility in life. Personally, I love the Carolina boats........any of them, all of them.
Im' no genius, but.......
$595,000 is a silly number based on the engines, hours, fit and finish and bank owned.
Sounds more like the pay-off balance on the vessel liens..which includes the mortgage.
If your serious...write the contract so the lien holders don't take it in the shorts..and the cram down happens at the mortgage holder level or no deal.
If they accept then and only then will you make a great deal and have the yards owed money to tell you the real story behind this boat and you should get any co-operation from them to help get her ready to move to a home base.
Don't forget the 15 day free look see clause with a walk away..![]()
