i really want trips, i would take quads on the 37 midnight express but i cant afford that kinda gas and the insurance and all that crap would skyrocket even more but i am second guessing trips... such a pretty sight though lol

Ok, i have a new question.

i am looking deeply into a custom built CC. Seems like you really cant go wrong? right?

But i was just curious if these (mainly carolina builders) boats are as fast as a yellowfin or a sea vee or center console of that nature

just a thought..

Hey Money Biscuits ,
If you would like to take a ride in the World Cat 330TE that I have on our RT 50 West Ocean City lot , I would be more than happy to set it up . We are all so getting in a Sea Hunter 29 in next week , they are a semi custom Fla boat . They make a 35 and a 40 ft as well .

I'd take Tommy up on the 33te world cat ride....I would bet you buy one after you ride it....and you can point and laugh at all the triple engine guys when blow by them in 5' seas...you can point and laugh at them again when they're filling their tanks and emptying their pockets at the pump....you won't find a better, more economical ride...period

If you are looking new, look at the new 34 Regulator, 34 Jupiter, 34 Venture, Fountain is fast if you like fast.

The Rock Salt 34 (aluminum) advertised on this site looks pretty cool and can be fully customized for lay-out - they are building the 1st one right now, so perf specs to follow.

I would also second the SeaHunter 35 (or 40). They are sweet looking boats, and I am really impressed w/ their construction process. The 35 sees 60 mph, and a 2mpg cruise right @ 40mph w/ twin V300's.

The other name I'd throw in is Bahama boat works, althought they sort of jump over your 34' target w/ a 31 & 41'r, but they are big wide boats for their length & worth checking out.

That said, it is hard to go wrong w/ the known names like Contender, Yellowfin, etc. I would think Yellowfin would be the more flexible on building what you want if customizing is your thing. The Contender 33T w/ trip (or twin) V300's is a pretty sick boat as well.

And, if speed is really your thing, you also need to look at Fountains. How about a 34' w/ trip V350's???

haha we are def on the same page Kitebuz, i was looking at the bahama and i really like it. even though i think its probly one of the largest cc's out there i would love to say "5'ers? are you kidding me" haha and do you know what it is powered by?

and i did not know that yellowfin was a semi custom manufacturer, i think im going to give them a call and see if i could work with them.. i love the boat, but im not crazy about their layout
