Does anybody know of this boat?It is said that it beat Fountains record for fastest cc on mercurys lake X by doing 87.9mph.With half the power of the mercury powered fountain.Only twin 300xs's which would mean half the fuel burn. They say it has A range of 1000miles doing about 45mph.It is rated for unlimited HP and is A stepped cat!Your opinions please?

Better live somewhere where the weather and seas are predictable and theres a lot of smooth glassy days in order bloody it up.

Not comparing it why way of rough water performance. But do I beleive that it would make A good rough water performer.Yes I do,And that is going to be at least as good as the fountain if not better.

The "Maximo Marine" boat is owned by a guy I know named Chris Turner. He owns a marina and dealership down the street from me in south St. Petersburg. They sell Wellcraft boats but he runs that thing in kingfish tournaments. I have looked around it while on the trailer but never in the water. Kind of a unique machine, not my cup of tea but it does look fast. Final thought is... do you really need to go 87.9mph?

I agree it's a sweet ride no doubt! I don't think it'd be my first choice as a tournament rig...chasing a king around the bow could get a bit dicey!!

the water.Because if this boat can honestly beat the fountain then what are they waiting for?I cant even fathom what could be A better advertisement because with half the hp,and half the fuel burn with todays rising fuel costs if one could run this boat enough it may not be A half bad deal.

Boat: 2009 Carolina Skiff 258DLV with 150 E-TEC
Home Port: duh...Key West
Best Catch: my wife
Occupation: slingin' bait and part-time charter captain

There is one at the marina that I work at, running charters. Honestly, I'm not too impressed with the boat. He's got twin E-TEC's on the back and the thing sits very stern heavy. Also, the useable space in the cockpit isn't very much. The bow area is taken up by that storage space, so imagine trying to fight a fish 360 degrees....you'd have to climb up on top of the front area to be able to reach around the front sponsons. Admittedly, the boat is a looker, the one I speak of is fighting lady yellow with white motors. Looks great. But I could think of many many more boats I'd rather fish on daily, especially for the money.
