I have Northstar 951x buying Raymarine e80 HELP ! ! !

I have about 400 saved points on the northstar 951x and want to do it easy, move them to the new raymarine e80. I really dont feel up to 30-40 hours or back and forth, there must be an easier way to transport the numbers from one to the other.

If anyone can use the northstar for problems they might have with their northstar, send me an e-mail. The chart that is in the machine is SW FL from Tampa to the Keys.. Rick

Hook a computer to the back of the northstar. save to the computer hardrive. Then go out and buy a CF card and reader. To save those way points to the CF card and transfer them to the e 80.

i recommend a spare card to exclusively store all the way points, and one to do up grades.

there is no where to hook up any kind of wires... this model isnt USB ready...

flopy disk then use a omputer that has a floppy and usb.

raymarine must use a san disk make sure none of the way points start with a number it MUST start with a letter or it will crash TRUST me on this, crashed my 5 times before raymarine could find the problem

any CF card will work. im surprised about the letter and number thing. I believe ray-marine fixed this problem in a software update.
