Hunt Yachts Yard Tour
On my way down to the Canyon Runner Seminar in Newport i stopped in to see Reed Austin The Director of Sales at Hunt Yachts
Reed has a passion for Offshore fishing as well as a perfectionist for the Hunt Yachts your about to see In his office he showed me a picture of 2 Sunning swords several miles from Martha's Vineyard taken many years back . I could tell from the factory tour that these folks have a dream and a passion that is coming true ,There boats are just works of art with the Hunt backbone to stand behind them.. The construction Techniques are very well engineered and organized These boats can be rigged to fish and cruise with out a problem ,they are very thought out in design to accomadate as much cockpit space as you can get in a model ranging form 25,29,33, 36 feet There website http://www.huntyachts.com/ also has links to the Hunt History that i thought was pretty cool if you are a boat freak like me Hope you enjoy the Pics Chris

Capt -D some of the builder’s factories are just awesome
it is so interesting to see the different styles of construction they use. I got my first taste back in 99 when I had a 30 foot down easter built for us in Maine, I would travel sometimes twice a week to watch the phases being completed Here is a new Power point of the Hunt Yachts 25 Center Console Unfortunately they did not get any planing shot's there comments were very positive. She was splashed just to check the water line and they could not resist getting her up on plane and stretching her wings a bit This boat will be a winner and has a ride better than they expected it ate the New England chop up like a 30 footer Comment from one of the Boat Builders was the following It felt like a great mogul skier taking on a black-diamond bump field without breaking a sweat and not a hair out of place. I will see if John or Jer can upload the Power point it exceeds the Limit?
