ramps - man,what a source of entertainment they are !

someone tell me,how do these things happen ?

this is at a ramp in florida - it's a real late model truck - upside down ? how ?

i've seen some interesting things: seen guys screaming at their wives/girlfriends...fist fights...people who can't back up a trailer...guys like "mad mike",who disconnect the winch cable,then start backing down the ramp - unloading the boat on the ramp in the process...

no cure for stupidity...

this last year we have seen:

a new jeep being driven down a neighborhood ramp and into the water .. (stolen insurance job ??? ) the guy swam out the window and took off..

we also now have ramp mechanics that back a boat down the ramp and run the thing wide open with clean gas to get the ethanol / bad gas out.. all they do is blow all the sand and rock away from the base and then peoples trailers get stuck on the end..

you never know what you will see anymore..

the last 3 times I have put in at the ramp though there are either Marine patrol, CG or local police boats there to write tickets.. but they will not ticket the dumb people...

This year i saw an old dodge caravan with the back hatch open, backed down in the water till it was about half way under. Then a guy with a bad ass mullet pulls up on a 20 year old wave runner, covered in duck tape with three kids aboard, and drives it into the back of the van and pulls the van out of the water wave runner in back and off to the house. By the way all of the seats were removed from the van except the drivers seat. Who needs a trailer when you got a dodge caravan. Mississippi boat ramps are the best!!!

Ok Ok Its my fault I told the guy the best way to make sure you had no salt water under your truck was to get a few freinds flip the truck and drain it right there at the ramp!,, don't want any salt water in your driveway at home,, it will kill the grass!

The best One I've seen was a couple of Lumbee Indians come whipping into the ramp, back the truck down, and both get out.

they run around back and both ask "Where's the boat" at the same time... No boat or trailer hooked to the truck...
