    Hole in T-Top

    Hey Guys,

I will be installing some new toys on the T-Top this spring. What is the best way to make the hole through the T-Top fabric for wires? I have read several opinions and figured I would toss it out here. It seems like using a soldering iron is the favorite as this "melts" the material and prevents frays. I have also read to drill and use super glue or RTV? Speaking of sealants, should I use a polyurethane based or silicon base? Thanks in advance for the advice.

    T-top hole

I would use a soldering iron to make the hole then put a brass grommet in the fabric.

Not sure what to use exactly to make the hole. I never paid attention that that part.

Any mounts you are installing you want to put them down with silcone or you will have water dripping on your head or running in to your console or ebox. Also a gromment to prevent chaffing of any sort

With the sharpest razor knife that you have, cut an "x" in the canvass material exactly the size of the wire that you are passing through. you can the use clear silicone and a perko "pass-through" which is a stainless steel mount that has a rubber grommett inside. this will prevent any future tearing or leakage.
