Haven't posted here much, but you guys have got a great forum going and have enjoyed the reading!
Anyone have any experience with a Henriques 44 W/ 375hp 3208s you could share? I've gotten some widely varied reports on what to expect on GPH. I'm told about 18 knts is realistic, but the GPH reports has ranged from 24-50 GPH at cruise. Could someone give me a better idea what to expect?
I dont know anything about them. But this there is one in the marina i hang out in. The guy who works on boats jack specks really highly of them. I never heard of him speck highly of any boat. So with that if he does that it must be a really good boat. 3208 there disposabler engines there not made any more. So with that in time it might be hard to find parts. I know a guy that has 19000 hrs on his 3208 in a 35 duffy downeast.I would not personally touch a 3208 thats your call. Thats the only help i can offer you.Good luck.
Wayyy under power. Twin 500HP or more horsepower are good for heavy Henriques. My friend's friend has a 44' Henriques. My friend told me that his Henriques burns fuel a lot. 43 GPH @ 20knt. Good luck

I dont think 18 kt is a realistic cruse speed, maybe wide open throttle. I own a 44' Henriques and when it had 450hp JT Detroits it crused at 20-21 kt 2200 rpm. It now has 500hp Luggers and cruses at 24 kt @ 1900 rpm under 40 gph. Our typical day from IR Delaware to Baltimore canyon is 175 gal. Horsepower is not the only consideration to look at, torque and horsepower is what makes a boat move and 3208s I dont think have enough torque or horsepower to make a good choice in a heavy boat with a keel and a v in the back. Hope this helps you. Tournament Yacht Sales has my 44' Henriques for sale
