Personally I like the Furuno product better, I have never had a problem getting service when necessary and their radar is great. The garmin is an easy to use system but you are forced to use the Garmin bluechart chipset, See if you can find one to play around with before you make the final decision. I beleive it all comes down to a matter of preference and price.PM if you would like a quote.

the garmin is a nice unit,the charts are not bad at all, plus the weather addon is nice to.we have it on display at our showroom in rio grande.call us at Electronic Marine Concepts.I can walk you thru the units.Ask for Brian, Good Luck
