I use a green machine
Has anybody installed a freezer plate
I have a 33 Rampage and it only has one fish box. If I fill it with ice before a trip then I don't have much space for fish and I don't like strapping ice chests to the bow rail for a day trip. I was thinking about putting a freezer plate in the box as a winter project. I have plenty of 120 power but if there is a twelve volt alternative I would be willing to learn about that.
If anybody has experience with installing and maintaining one of these things I would appreciate your advice.

I do them ..stainless steel plates ..
the first ones I made were full of mastic (a rubbery glue) now I use good old glycol. if you are able to suspend the plate above the bottom or off the backside of the box they work great and make a salt water fish slushy. the 12 volt system one is coming along better the small units I build and installed are air and water cooled and work fine.. I use a plate similar to the dole. you can end up freezing your fish to the bottom of your box or even splitting your box if you do not get it right. but they are great when they are right!
