    Gunnel/outrigger repair

My 92 Northcoast has Lee gunnel mount outriggers. They were installed by cutting holes in the gunnel and screwed in. The wood is now rotting between the fiberglass and the outriggers are not as solidly mounted as they should be any suggestions. Thanks

    brian ???

this is gonna sound like closing the barn door after the horse took off...but...this is why any wood core needs to be protected, after a hole is made in it....a few mins and some epoxy would've kept this from happening-too late now...

there's not really much you can do,except for replacing the core in the areas of the holders...the wood core is rotted, there's nothing but air between the fiberglass skins...
