this is my own rig...it's a mako 250 walk around...the windshield frame was allways in your line of sight, the visibility was a little tough...
i removed the windshield, and i had an replacement enclosure made by tom grahm-grahm's marine canvas...the enclosure is tracked on the top and the bottom, the zippers have a velcro flap-all this means the enclosure will not leak water any where-cool huh...
the enclosure is made from polycarbonate,on the front panels and the side panels are strataglass...this enclosure is an absolute work of art...it follows the line perfectly..if any of you guys need canvas work,in the jersey hsore area,i highly reccomend tom grahm-his work is flawless !!!
the hard top on my rig,was made by bruce at "white knuckle welding",bruce makes a hard top without forward braces-he calls it a "K" brace...it's super strong and IT WILL NOT BREAK !!! my top is a few years old and i've had zero problems...i highly reccomend the services of bruce at white knuckle welding as well-his work in my opinion,is among the best-the welds are beautiful and clean-you really do get what you pay for !!!!
for any of you guys running a wak around rig,if you're having a problem with visibility,i reccomend you try this approach to solve the problem...it really opens the front of the boat up !!
here's a few pictures....
