got a few questions about a boat.

i want to start fishing farther offshore.the current boat i have is way small.what's a good choice in a 25-27' boat to run offshore in ?
what do most of you fish out of ?

Where do you fish? What conditions do you find yourself in? Is it to be a hard core fishing boat or double as a family boat?
