With a 3.8-inch color touchscreen, you will be able to easily view your directions and choose where you need to go. The display has also been made to be easily read even when direct sunlight is beaming on it, also the entire product is waterproof.

There are preloaded maps of the United States and Europe interstate and highway systems; however, if you desire to use this for your standard city driving, you will have to purchase the optional automotive kit. I would highly suggest purchasing the automotive kit, which consists of MapSource City Navigator Software, power adapter with speakers, data card and a friction mount. This kit will allow you to receive turn-by-turn directions that are voice-prompted.

If you enjoy boating, or are an avid fisherman, then you will enjoy the marine maps that come within this device. You will be able to chart your course through the Garmin Marine Cartography System.
