Im looking to upgrade my chartplotter data with one of the G2 Garmin Chips and was looking to see if anyone has this or can talk to the benifits over the stock charts I have.

I have the GPSMAP 498c that is about 4 years old.

The screen shots of the G2 charts on the web do not look all that more detailed then what I have.

I was looking at the Navionics options but it does not look like they make an update for the Garmin.

BTW - Located in NH and fish, Coastal NH & MA
